Common questions

What sports does box league software support?

Any racket sport with head-to-head matches — tennis, padel, squash, pickleball, badminton and more. The scoring system is fully configurable per league.

How does the season rollover work?

You configure how many players promote (move to the box above) and demote (move to the box below) at the end of each season. When you trigger the rollover, OnCourtMatch computes the final standings, applies promotions and demotions, and creates a new draft league with the updated player assignments ready to start.

Can I run singles and doubles box leagues?

Yes. Box leagues support both singles and doubles formats. For doubles, pairs are assigned to boxes as a team. Both players' results count together.

What happens if a player drops out mid-season?

The player is marked as withdrawn. Their completed match results are preserved and continue to count for their opponents' standings. The withdrawn player is excluded from the current standings table.

Can players schedule their own matches?

Yes. Players use the OnCourtMatch app to propose a date and time to their opponent. Both players are notified and the scheduled match appears in both their session feeds.

Can I run box leagues at the same time as club night sessions?

Yes. Box leagues and club night sessions run completely independently on the same platform. Members see everything in one app — session sign-ups and league matches in the same Sessions tab.
